I have the Charlotte Observer article to thank for getting me involved
in Letterboxing... I was visiting my parents in Charlotte (NC) and was
looking over their Sunday paper when I saw the first clue for their
letterbox contest. The article listed www.Letterboxing.org for more
information. When I got to my home in Salisbury, I looked up the web
page and foun that there were 5 letterboxes hidden within a 15 to 20
minute drive from my home! It's been less than two weeks, and I have
found all of them! I've already chosen the sites where I will hide my
first two letterboxes. All I have to do now is to carve the stamps to
go in them! Look for two more letterboxes near Rowan County very soon!

They won Tickets to a NASCAR event here in Charlotte, and tickets to
Carowinds (the local amusement park) and tickets to something else, I
can't remember. They were great prizes!!
